The solar eclipse is just a few days away, and while the extraordinary event can bring shock and awe it can also leave you with a lifetime of regret.
A few states will get a total eclipse on August 21st, and the Valley will only get a partial one that will go up around 9:30 a.m.
So, how do you prepare to watch it, and watch it well?
- Don’t look at it directly. Doing so can result in eye damage or blindness.
- Get a pair of official eclipse glasses. Using the wrong ones can cause permanent eye damage if looking directly at it.
You can make your own glasses if you don’t feel like buying any. You’ll need a cereal box, a piece of paper, tape and aluminum foil to create the perfect shadow of the event.
